Sunny Sundays

Behold! My first outfit post! These were taken about a month ago one Sunday in Bryan. It's taken me ages to post them here. Now that spring has arrived and 80 degree weather is the norm here in this part of Texas I have definitely been enjoying my warmer weather wardrobe. This outfit is composed of some of my favorite staples, my aqua handbag from Hold Fast Handbags (this rarely leaves my side these days), my peacock print feedsack blouse, as well as my light blue 1930's culottes that I love dearly and would wear on a daily basis if my job did not require long pants...

Blouse - Nudeedudee
Culottes - From a Wearing History Pattern, and produced by the ever fabulous Nudeedudee (as I have NO sewing skills)
Handbag - Hold Fast Handbags

  1. I do love those cullottes! I have a 50's pattern that is out on my sewing table at the moment which I keep looking at, I'm not sure if as I'm short and not very slim whether they will look ok so I'm hesitant, but looking at yours I'm tempted just to go ahead!

  2. Ah, so gorgeous!! I adore that fabric and the culottes are darling! I would love to try some but wonder whether they would just emphasize my wide hips. They look perfect on you, though!! Hurray for your first outfit post!

  3. Thanks ladies! Oh and for reference, I'm pretty short as well (I'm barely 5 feet 4 inches) and my hip measurement is 37.5 inches which is considered to be pretty wide for my tiny waist and bust measurements. I think the drape in the pants helps keep it from emphasizing the hip too much as they start to flow out when it hits the widest point more similar to the skirt which is pretty helpful.

  4. I love your pictures Sara. Once again, I have to say you are the cutest!
I'm thinking of doing a customer appreciation album. Do you mind if I use your photo with the Hold Fast bag?
